Carmella Rose

Yesterday, we went to visit our new friend Carmella Rose. Kai tried out all her toys (toy tester - he just had to!). The toy tester is going to be his job... He gots to protect all the little girls in his play group why else would he be on a mission to grow so big and strong?!

Welcome Carmella Rose! We can not wait to hang out with you more!!

Happy Birthday Golden Gate Bridge

This weekend was the 75th Birthday of the Golden Gate Bridge!

First Picnic

Today, we celebrated the start of summer with a BBQ outside!! We initially tried Baker Beach but while the sun was shining the wind was blowing. We took ourselves over to Golden Gate park and got lucky with an open picnic spot and grill!

Kai loved watching all the kids playing in the meadow and we enjoyed the feast Ahmad prepared!

Daycare initiation

Today we went to see Kai's daycare center. He was accepted into the blue house, hummingbirds room. Friday, Ahmad and I are looking forward to meeting his education coordinator and house director. He will start daycare in 2+ months! Yikes!!

Genetics

It blows our minds when Kai assumes patterns we had as kids... Like the following picture of him settling in on sucking his two first fingers just like me. Now if he finds his ear to hold too, I'll know for sure he is mine!!

Solar Eclipse

Guess what we did last night! Nonnie, Ahmad, Kai and I went to Crissy Field to check out the solar eclipse! We borrowed glasses and scopes to see this cool event!

It's Bay to Breakers

Today was the annual Bay to Breakers.  The course goes from the Bay to Ocean Beach and cuts right near our apartment (Hayes Street).  Every year (almost) we walk the dog and check out the action.  We have also been known to walk the course and get in on the fun.  The best part are the crowds that dress up in themes and creatively bring along some beverages.

Flight Home

1. We had a free aisle seat (aka baby bed) - lucky
2. Kai slept the entire way - worth the price of full airfare

Future Babysitters?

We spent the weekend with the Sadr's family.  Here the boys took turns getting to know Kai.  I can only image what 'trouble' they will all get into one day!  Its amazing how fast they grow up but Ahmad and I are sure they are fine young men to steer our boy into life!

The week was spent in Pennsylvania with Mim and Pop! It was just wonderful. We missed Ahmad but Pop made up for it just fine. We learned about White Fang and Black Tooth, had super comfy towels for bath time, perfect sleeping shoulders (Mim's) and general entertainment (Pop)... We can not wait to go back... We love you!
