Potty Training

How could I forget, Kai started to go potty by himself with the help of the teachers at school.  Its been actually fantastic that school has done most of the convincing and help in this area.  He is diaper free at school since Feb. 4th and now at home he is mostly diaper free except on the weekends and at night.  All fine by me!

Kai is one who wants to be more grown up, so if the big kids are doing it so well he.  He also has a strong sense of self which we love and is not just a follower.  If Kai decides its right for him then game on!

So, Game on my sweetie... Game on!

Fin's Surgery

Well, finally the little man was well enough to proceed with surgery.  We drove over to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek early in the morning.  The hospital was award winning and beautiful.  It had special set ups for children (toys, pillow cases, attention to details).  We met with the anesthesiologist and then the surgeon.  It was so hard to let him go, i was so nervous but he was a champ.  We found everything we were looking for and the procedure was a full success.  We left around 3pm just in time to beat the work day traffic home, pick up Kai and cuddle with our baby!

Love you Fin, so glad its over and CONGRATS on being such a brave strong boy!

Birthday Party #4

Finally, Sunday we had our first Birthday party for Fin.  We kept it a small affair with close friends.  The theme was balls and balls of rain poured down (the only freak rainstorm in months!).  I had a bubble machine, swimming pool of plastic play balls, ball toys and ball treats.  We served shimp, lobster and steak!  It was a huge hit!

Fin slept thru most of it... but here is what I was able to capture of the fun!

Happy First Birthday our baby boy!  May your days be bright and sunny and filled with all the worldly delights you wish for!

Birthday Part #3 (for the 3yr old)

I booked a play space (climbing space) for Kai's friend birthday.  Its one of his favorite spots to go when Nonnie 'plays hookie' with him on school days.  I got capped out on adults (and not kids) and we did not serve alcohol... who knew!? we'd be so popular!  The theme was dinosaurs as Kai for most of the year has been obsessed with Dinosaurs.  My favorite thing was probably the favors.  I had special colorful Dinosaur tails made for the kids.  I also included Dinosaur shaped crayons, Dinosaur egg dissolvable bath salts that yield little dinos, dino tattoos...

I loved it and I think so did Kai!  We had a mix of school friends and kids of friends, it went off pretty well!

Happy Birthday my big boy!

Birthday Parties #1 and #2!

Our boys are turning 1 and 3!!  We did spiderman cupcakes for Kai's class and angle food cake cupcakes for Fin's.  I can not believe it, it went so fast but we had so much fun this year!  I am not understanding the daunting task of hosting two birthdays at once... its a lot of work!

Kai was not sure what to make of the singing but he did not cry and was so excited about the spiderman cupcakes.  Fin loved us with him at first but hid his head under the table and cried during the birthday song, then picked his head up and enjoyed his cake once we stopped.  Hilarious!

Happy Birthday My Beautiful, Wonderful and Most Special Boys!

We love you - Mommy and Daddy!
