13 hours

Oh me oh my! Our little boy is growing up!!! Last night he slept for 13 hrs and 23 minutes!!! What a bittersweet treat. I love the sleep but it was never really an issue with Kai. On the other hand it means he is getting bigger and more grown up!

Kai got some new toys, one in which are some stacking blocks. Here he is playing with them and simultaneously redecorating he living room!

He mostly likes to eat them. No worries they are made by a local toy company that producing toys put of safe plastics made from recycled milk jugs.

That did not mean I was not running to get back to home as I was so anxious to see Kai, Daddy and Nannie that I got to the Genentech bus stop ~15 minutes before departure! I was not going to miss that bus, no way, no how!

Baby's First Shower

He is just plan cuteness!! This one may go into his High School Year Book!!

Photo was taken right after his first shower. He was so excited to have finished the shower experience he rolled over to play. I think we will be waiting a tad longer for another shower experience.

Swenson's Ice Cream

It was nice and sunny out on Tuesday, so a Field Trip to try the San Francisco famous Swensen's Ice Cream was in order.  Nannie had memories of eating Swensen's when she lived here many moons ago, however, Ahmad and I had not had a chance to try it.   We were caught up with other local (newer) ice cream stores.  All flavors (except the 'light' versions) are made on-site in the original site.

Carmella Rose

We went out to see Gina and Carmella for a girls lunch out!  The sun/weather was perfect.  Its amazing to see Carmella at 1month, how fast time flies.

Four Month Pediatrician Visit

On Monday, Kai's went in for his 4 month pediatrician visit.  This was another big visit.  He is growing fast and strong.  It looks as though he will be tall and thin just like Ahmad!

H new statistics are:

• Weight: 15lbs 15.5ozs 
• Height: 26.5" (off the charts!)

Escape from Alcatraz

It was a year ago this weekend that Ahmad, Jenn and Kai swam from Alcatraz to the shores of San Francisco.  Ahmad somehow found us in the water and helped guide us into the beach.  The currents were strong last year.  It was such a great feeling to make it into the transition area and celebrate the accomplishment knowing Kai swam with us!

Pizza out of a Truck?

We headed down to Hayes to check out Flour and Water's Pizza chef run the Del Popolo Pizza Truck. They have installed a real deal Sicilian pizza oven to make to order your pizza!
