Nonnie sent us my old table and chair set.  It was crazy to assemble it and discover I had written my name under one of the chairs.  It will be cool to have Kai sign a chair and possibly use it for his children!

This weekend we did a brunch out on the town.  Here we are ... Kai enjoyed the street much more than the company of his parents.  Oh boy, is it starting already?!

Oh my, I am exhaust! Playing single parent for a week is tough. I admire all that do it everyday or those who do it more often than I do. Don't get me wrong, I love the alone time with my little man... Here are some highlights of what I got to enjoy

12 month Wellness Check-up

Today Kai had his 12 month check-up.

His stats are:
Weight: 22lbs 5 ozs (~75%tile)
Height: 32" (~99%tile)

Kai demonstrated his walking abilities and his displeasure for the whole general process. Thank goodness Ahmad could rework his schedule to help out!

Kai's First Birthday

Today Kai turns 1.  Wow!  So many people said we (as parents) survived, but I have to say we more feel like we thrived!  We were lucky to be blessed with a wonderfully happy little boy.

 Kai was such a big boy, he walked right into the room without needed me.

I made some banana bread and cream cheese muffins for school. Kai's special treat was the owl shaped muffin!

Bay Area Discovery Museum

This weekend we took Kai to one of his favorite places. Now that he is walking he really enjoyed the climbing spaces and the water!!! Note to parents: bring extra changes of cloths...
