Kai is determined to get the dogs water dish! I know it's a bit disgusting he is touching the toilet but this is just an insight into my evenings taking care of Kai alone while Ahmad travels!

Working from home

Today we worked from home! Ahmad had a very early call and I had no meetings so we stayed home with Kai. It was so fun for us.

Here in the pictures you see Kai with his favorite toy (a hammer). He is 'fixing' his dump truck and dump truck box. He pulled himself up on me to get into that sitting position, all by himself.

High Energy

FYI my son is all Ahmad!

Today alone, Oh my! We got our first dose today of a high energy, into everything, chase the doggie, pull kitty's tail, open stove drawer, destroy dog water bowl, pee on bathroom floor, try to sink head underwater during bath time and a look my no hands attempt in pulling oneself up and out of their crib! I was doing suicides in our apartment trying to keep up!

Maybe my fears of weight loss thru dieting will be solved by chasing Kai!

Help me please. Ahmad and I made a decision last week to only have one, after today we are reconsidering he may need a sibling... We're too old to be the only playmate!!! But this times two??? Ahhhhh. Oh the Dilemmas!!

This weekend we took Kai to the Rock Gym with us.  Check him out climbing up over the stair.  He is growing so fast!

San Francisco Zoo

This weekend we took Kai back to the petting zoo.  This time he was much more into the animals.  The pictures of him on the horse saddle reaching for the sheep, was so cute!  He was so excited!  We checked out the goats, chickens, sheep, ducks, and alpacas.  

We did walk away knowing a little riding tracker is probably in the works for the holidays!

Our baby turns 7 months Old

Kai can now sit on his own and is just about crawling.  He arm crawls now (hands and legs move him across the floor with a bit of belly drag)

Out for Lunch

This weekend we met our good friends the Deignans out for lunch. It was great, Kai sat thru the whole meal in his own chair! He talked, observed, eat and played! I only had to bring out 1/5 of the toys I brought.

The most special time was after lunch was over as we sat and talked i picked up Kai to hold him (because i missed him) and he fell asleep in my arms for his 3pm nap. Priceless!
