Croup is back

 The boys were home sick with croup... its been a tough winter for us.  I have love the cuddles though?!

Mr. Bumblee Bee Vacations with the Sadrs

 It was Kai's turn to take home mister Bumble Bee this weekend.  Kai enjoyed it very much.  We ate dinner together, went on walks and even had a day trip to the aquarium!   Its hard work keeping Mr. BB entertained and obtaining good content for the write up story!  I hope this does not become too frequent, its high pressure to get those great shots and complete a homework assignment for Monday mornings!

The terrible, horrible no good cold season

Croup is no fun and both kids have had it multiple times this season.  

Poor Fin has been so sick this season being out of school almost one a week.  He is a obviously the second born so having the chance to spend private time is really sweet but we definitely prefer it to be under different events.

Theme: BIG (Big Snakes - pun intended)

This snake was a huge it!  Kai got it at the zoo and it now comes everywhere with us.  Its a long if not longer then he is.  Watch out he bites!  

I did hide the next photo in between the snake photos as its something he will probably kill me for in years to come.  He lets us know he is a big boy and can go potty standing up.  He does insist on holding the seat which kinda freaks me out, but I guess with boys you just go with it!

Norooz

School was celebrating a lot of New Year events for Chinese New year... so I decided to set up a special display to introduce families to Persian New Year (or Norooz).  Norooz is celebrated on the first day of spring on the vernal equinox.  A typical spread includes a haf seen where families place seven items that begin with the letter 's' and where these items signify something special.

Walking!

Yes, yes, he is just about there!  He is walking!

Fin we know can walk, does a mummy (hands out in front) toddle... he can walk but is very cautious.  This weekend he practiced (ever so proudly) going between Ahmad and I in the kitchen.  It was sooo exciting.  However, with the new found mobility also comes the new found exploring skills... watch out kitchen drawers and cabinets... there is no hiding from a 1 year old!

Its funny, January 1 marked Kai's first steps and Fin's are with March 1st.
